Property Description

FLY IN AND OUT FROM YOUR HOME. Lots 6–9 in historic Buckingham Air Park combine into one 0.592-acre homesite, one of the last remaining in this rare fly-in community. Taxi from your own hangar on shared aircraft and vehicle roads to FL59, Buckingham Field, with a 4000-foot-long concrete runway built on the former WWII Buckingham Army Airfield. The lot site is about 50% larger than a typical airpark lot, with room for one, maybe two custom homes and attached airplane hangar. Zoned AG-2, with well and septic, modest HOA dues and low taxes. Join a close-knit community of pilots in the rural Buckingham area, about 13 miles from downtown Fort Myers, with quick access to I-75. Very Rare opportunity. Buyer to verify deed restrictions, hangar requirements and runway access terms. Join a Community of Pilots - At Buckingham Air Park, aviation is what brings neighbors together. Residents come from many backgrounds, and one longtime resident described aviation as "the central thread" binding the neighbors together and "an equalizer." And the best part: Orlando, the Keys, the Bahamas and the rest of Florida are only a flight away. You'll leave from your own front door.
